Education Knowledge and Experience:​

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with evidence of continued professional development.

  • Experience of leading an IT/Digital function in a large, multi-location organisation, preferably with some experience in a relevant sector.

  • Leading and maximising innovative technology and business change, through developing and delivering vision, strategy, architecture roadmaps and multi-faceted programmes in support of business improvement. 

  • Evidence of inspiring, motivating, and developing staff at all levels to support an inclusive culture that achieves high-quality performance and continuous improvement to achieve excellent outcomes within a fixed level of resources. Proven ability in driving performance and productivity, developing the performance of colleagues through ownership and accountability.

  • Experience of having worked collaboratively with peers at all levels and contributing to broader large-scale business improvement, including service improvement, budget savings and resolution of complex business issues.

  • Experience of applying digital ways of working and user centred design approaches to delivering transformational change in a complex organisational context.

  • Extensive knowledge, expertise and experience in current major technologies including desktop, network infrastructure, business applications, cloud, mobile and digital.

  • Strong experience and knowledge of utilising data and analytics to support the organisation with insights and decision making.

  • Strong leadership skills to develop the IT team.

  • Visionary and forward-thinking approach to technology and innovation. 

  • Strategic approach to supporting frontline delivery through IT/digital tools.

  • Able to work at fast pace in a dynamic environment.

  • Able to communicate across the organisation to all colleagues, Trustees and external stakeholders, including the ability to explain technical subjects to a non-technical audience.

  • Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities and challenges.

  • Commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within Change Grow Live.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrable ability to lead large scale digital change programmes. 

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and data protection regulations.

  • Relevant technical qualification
