As our FP&A Accountant you will play a critical role in supporting our Head of FP&A. You will act as a bridge between complex financial data and actionable insights, ensuring that key stakeholders receive expert financial advice to make informed decisions. You will lead a high-performing team, ensuring the delivery of robust financial planning, budgeting and analysis across the Commission.
The successful candidate should have proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a business partnering or FP&A function. We need someone with strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team, with effective stakeholder management and communication skills. You can be part or fully-qualified, and mist demonstrate exceptional financial analysis and modelling abilities.

​​​Are you a qualified or part-qualified accountant with a passion for project finance? Do you thrive on delivering financial insights to drive decision-making? If so, we invite you to join our team at The Electoral Commission as a Project Accountant.
As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of the Commission’s Corporate Plan projects. Leading and managing a Financial Analyst, you will ensure that budgets are well-managed, forecasts are accurate, and financial risks are proactively addressed. Collaborating closely with Project Management and FP&A teams, you will contribute to the successful delivery of key projects.
We are seeking an experienced accountant (either fully qualified or part-qualified with a clear plan to achieve full qualification) with experience in project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting within a public sector finance function. You must demonstrate proven leadership experience in managing staff or leading financial projects, with strong knowledge of Public Sector accounting principles, including IFRS16 and Supply Estimates, and you must be proficient in financial modelling and Excel.
