Welcome Letter

Now that The Electoral Commission has had its 2025/26 budget and 5-year Corporate Plan scrutinised and approved by Parliament, we are embarking on an exciting journey of expansion and innovation as we deliver projects across our Corporate Plan as well as carry out our business-as-usual activities and annually recurring events.

Our Corporate Plan aims to guide us through this government term. Our motivation is our voters: voters are at the heart of our democracy and central to our work. Everything we do is to help people trust, value and take part in elections. Our vision is clear: a fair democracy fit for the future. Our values are including everyone, having expert impact, being open and engaging, and being connected in ambition.

In order to achieve our objectives as we focus on our priorities which are strengthening the Electoral Commission, modernising the electoral system, safeguarding and protecting the system, leading an informed debate about the future of elections, and supporting voters and increasing participation, we are strengthening our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This enhancement is crucial for providing the leadership, management, processes, systems, and safeguards necessary for informed financial decision-making as well as developing the compelling funding bids from the three Parliaments that fund our important work; Westminster, the Senedd, and the Scottish Parliament Corporate Body.

We are currently seeking talented individuals for two key roles of an FP&A Accountant and a Project Accountant to join our dynamic team.

If you are passionate about delivering excellence in financial planning and eager to contribute to our mission, we would be thrilled to hear from you.

Warm regards

Prisca Sinihelm, Head of FP&A
